Africa Media Development Foundation (AMDF) paid a courtesy visit to Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ) Kaduna chapter on its forth coming Africa Conference on Developmental Journalism which will hold on the 10th -12th of December 2019.
The conference which is set to create an avenue for the exchange of ideas in addressing current and emerging issues facing developmental journalism will inspire, evolve and innovate journalists to support the growth of development journalism in Africa, the conference will also create a platform for journalist to explore the place of development journalism in achieving the sustainable development goals.
Iliya Kure the Executive Director of AMDF thanked the representative of the chairman for according AMDF the audience. He stated that previous conferences were centered on Media Africa but because of the place of development in Nigeria, there is the need to enlighten journalists on the importance of development journalism in Nigeria therefore the need to change the conference name. The conference highlights will include a lot of Talks, Panel Discussions, Workshops and networking.
Femi Adi who represented the chairman NUJ appreciated AMDF for their vision to take journalism to another level and promised to publicize this conference using all platforms; he said NUJ will support AMDF in every way possible.
