IMPROVING PRIMARY HEALTH CARE DELIVERY ACROSS NIGERIA

Africa Media Development Foundation (AMDF) is excited to have been a part of CSOs in Kaduna to be trained by EngenderHealth on Advocacy solutions to improve Primary Healthcare (PHC) delivery and health outcomes in Nigeria.

The training which took place in Kaduna from 27th to 29th of July, 2026 focused on building the capacity of the CSOs and their Partners (CCSI, ISMPH and LISDEL) on resource mobilization and financial management. The 3 days training looked at strengthening institutional knowledge to influence support and enhance CSOs community engagement, their reporting and documentation capacity.

CSOs and Partners, were made to understand that finance and programs in an organization work hand in hand for effective outcomes of any given project.

Furthermore, the training also prioritized sustainability of participating organizations, accountability and effective program delivery for overall health outcome and improvement at state level.

CSOs were taught understanding success in budget, finance and identifying key indicators of success and application of best practices.

In conclusion, CSOs and Partners present were advised to have CSR especially within the state that will raise funds or partner with, a resource mobilization strategy that will show the organizations activity, staff, Space, finance , programs, volunteers, grants calendar, and resource mobilization plan that will determine the time frame to achieve the resource mobilization strategy for their organizations that will help them grow prior to the years they have planned to achieve this.
