African Women in the Media (AWiM) was started in 2016, with the mission to impact positively the way media functions in relation to women. AWiM conferences are designed around our three Pillars of: Knowledge Transfer between Industry and Academia, Economic Empowerment of Women, and Visibility.
AWiM18 sought to empower and inspire through our theme Visibility, while AWiM19 seeks to SHOWCASE the amazing work produced by African women working in a variety of media industries from film, to journalism, marketing and more.
Journalists and others can attend this event.
