Muhammed Ibrahim Is AMDF’s Journalist of the Month

Mohammed Ibrahim started his journalism career in New Nigerian Newspaper in Kaduna State, North West Nigeria since 2006.

He holds a higher Diploma in journalism from International Institute of Journalism Abuja.

“I embarked fully in freelancing in year 2013 and was fortunate to have bylines with both local and international media organizations such as IRIN International News with headquarters in Switzerland,  Africapaper based in Minnesota USA and Oslo Times  International online based in Norway.

I was also a member of Hajj 2012 and 2014 media team that covered Hajj activities in Saudi Arabia. I am equally a member of Team of Investigating and Developmental journalists based in Northern Nigeria. Our developmental reportage led to intervention in most of the rural communities we reported”.

Awards

In December 2015 he received Bleeder’s Pen Award for his effort in Hemophilia Awareness from Hemophilia Foundation of Nigeria.

He also received Courage in Journalism Award in recognition for his effort in investigative reporting in the year 2016 from Africa Media Development Foundation.

In November 2016 he bagged developmental and community service award for his community reporting from Kadpoly Students Entrepreneur group called ENECTUS.

“Presently I run a news website “Developmentalreporter.com.ng which focuses mostly on developmental reporting in Nigeria and around the globe.

My sincere appreciation goes to Managing Director of New Nigerian Newspapers Tukur Abdulrahman,  Shariff Ahmed former Editor New Nigeria Sunday paper,  Yunusa Muhammad Makarfi Public Relations Officer,  Kaduna Pilgrims Welfare Board,  Balarabe Ladan Editor Aminiya Newspaper and members of team of Investigative journalists, in particular Iliya Kure Founder Africa Media Development Foundation for their support in my career and life”.

Finally,  he his married with a wife and two daughters.
