Victor Truman was born in Lagos but hails from Kaduna state; he was born to the family of Mr and Mrs  Adamu Truman. A graduate of Mass Communication, from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.

Truman has been in the job for over 14 years, working with Voice of Nigeria (VON), Supreme FM Kaduna and African Independent Television (AIT)

On what inspired him into journalism, Truman said he grew up loving everything about journalism, it was something natural coming from within.

Politics, Business and Sports are the beats he has covered, with Business and Politics as his favorite beats.

About his experiences so far on the job he said it has been ‘amazing and awesome’ because of the satisfaction he derives  whenever he is able to deliver. He has no regrets.

As a journalist his most challenging moments has to do with ‘the brown envelope syndrome’

BBC Training 2018, National Broadcasting Cooperation (NBC) Lagos, Basic Presentation Course, and Intermediate Presentation Course among other trainings he enjoyed so far.

On his advice to upcoming journalists, Truman said ‘As a boni fide member of the fourth realm suffice it is to state that journalism profession has a limitless boundaries in all spheres, be it electronic/print all it requires is bravery, resilience and focus than you can be rest assured that a blissful career is inevitable.
