AMDF Decorates Hafsat Mohammed Baba as Champion Against Gender Based Violence

Kaduna State Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development Hafsat Mohammed Baba commends Africa Media Development Foundation (AMDF) for taking the initiative to compliment government efforts by engaging in developmental projects.

Addressing the Rise Up project team, the Commissioner said it is encouraging to see a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) take it upon itself to pursue issues of development without seeking for government support.

During the visit, AMDF decorated the Commissioner, Hafsat Mohammed Baba as a “Champion Against Gender Based Violence”.

Speaking on behalf of the project team, Benjamin Yunana Maigari said the organization has noticed the continued effort and support of the commissioner and the ministry to issues that affects development especially with regards to women and girls.

Maigari said “we as an organization saw it necessary to decorate you today as a way of appreciating and cheering you not to relent in the good work you have been doing”.

 

 

The organization is working with support from Rise Up,  a project of the Public Health Institute of John Hopkins University with funding from Cummins inc.
