AMDF Tweet Chat Examines History of Climate Change in Nigeria

Nigeria is a country filed with Natural landmarks and wildlife reserve, evident and abundant natural endowment which makes it very vulnerable to climate change activities. This was stated at the Africa Media Development Foundation (AMDF) climate change tweet chat, on Thursday, 10th January.
The tweet chat hash tagged #thursdayclimatechat focused on the history of climate change in Nigeria and the world at large.
A dataset which was produced by the Climate Research Unit (CRU) of University of East Anglia (EUA) presented a chart which shows mean historical monthly temperature and rainfall for Nigeria, the time period 1901-2015.
The AMDF tweet stated that beginning around 1760, the industrial revolution started overhauling the way human society operates. Innovation in energy, manufacturing, mining and transportation supercharged the economic evolution of the world.
As the years went by, the effect of the speculation became true as Nigeria started to experience flood and other evidence of climate change affecting the economy, also the health and agricultural sectors.
As one of the evidences of the said effect, a few years back in Kogi state Nigeria and other states like Lagos suffered the same fate from the consequences of climate change.
