Board Chairman:
Iliya Kure is a seasoned journalist and press freedom advocate, who worked with local and international media organisations. He has over 20 years of experience in the media and communication field. He produced and presented a USAID sponsored education programme on Voice of America Hausa Service, aimed at promoting literacy and basic education in northern Nigeria. He has worked with Radio Nigeria Kaduna National Station and freelances for New York Times. He has experience in development work and has been involved in advocacy for Family Planning, Maternal and Child Health, as well as Immunisation at both the national and sub-national level. He has been involved in the production of advocacy and campaign materials. He has served as consultant to projects of DFID, USAID and Gates Foundation, among others. As Board Chairman, he provides overall leadership to attaining AMDF’s vision, mission and goals.
