Vincent Ekwerike Circa is AMDF Veteran Journalist.

Dr. Vincent Ekwerike Circa hails from Emekuku  Owerri North Local Government Area, Imo State. He is a teacher, a lecturer and a retired journalist.

His first degree in Mass Communication was from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), he obtained a Master Degree (M.A) in Broadcasting from Abia State University (ABSU). He also acquired his Ph.D in Linguistics and Communication (Dev Comm) from University of Port Harcourt. He has a Diploma in Journalism.

He is a fellow of APCON (FRPA), and he also belongs to the institute of Mass Communication and Information Management.

Dr. Vincent has worked as a journalist in Lagos, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Owerri. In 2008 he was awarded FRCN award of excellence.

His experiences according to him was ‘beautiful and rewarding’, whereas obstacles of the job made his calling challenging and interesting, and as such he calls on all practitioners to brace up, discipline and shun Laxity.

On New Media and Press Freedom, Dr. Vincent said freedom should come with responsibilities, all practitioners should accept and embrace new media since it has come to stay.

He has facilitated employments and training of journalists, sponsoring some, this has resulted to very satisfying results, protecting truth and fairness.

Journalism among others have been the best profession for Dr. Vincent with no regrets, he loves it with passion. He has practiced both print and electronic media. He retired in 2014 September from FRCN and he presently lectures with Gregory University Uturu Abia State, Department of Mass Communication
