Writers, photographers, filmmakers, radio journalists and other content producers ages 18 to 30 who live in Commonwealth countries can apply for a grant.

The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust established the Leading Change Journalism Bursary to help young people develop their journalism skills while building a portfolio of work.

Applicants must submit proposals about inspiring leadership, individuals and projects that create positive change.

A bursary of GBP700 will be awarded to one individual in each of the five Commonwealth regions – Africa, Asia, Canada and Europe, Caribbean and Americas, and the Pacific.

Winners will be required to produce three pieces for the Leading Change website during 2017.

The deadline is Nov. 21.
